1. Performing Hajj
"Wa lillāhi ‘alan nāsi hijjul bayti manistaṭā‘a ilayhi sabīlā."
"...a duty owed to Allah by all people is to perform Hajj to the House (the Ka'bah), for those who are able to find a way there..." (Qur'an, Ali 'Imran: 97)
2. Celebrating the Day of Eid al-Adha
"Indeed, Allah has given you two better days in exchange: Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha."
3. Slaughtering the Sacrificial Animal (Qurban/Udhiyah)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Man kāna lahu sa‘atun wa lam yudhaḥḥi falā yaqrabanna muṣallānā."
"Whoever has the means but does not offer a sacrifice, let him not approach our prayer place."

1. Fasting on the First Nine Days of Dhul-Hijjah
"The Prophet ﷺ used to fast on the nine days of Dhul-Hijjah, on the day of 'Ashura, on three days of each month, and on the first Monday and Thursday of the month."
2. Fasting on the Day of 'Arafah (9th Dhul-Hijjah)
"Fasting on the day of 'Arafah (the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah) expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year, as I hope from Allah."
3. Increasing the Takbir (saying Allahu Akbar)
"There are no days in which good deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days (of Dhul-Hijjah). So, increase in saying SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, and Allahu Akbar."
4. Increasing Obedience to Allah, Azza wa Jalla
"When the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah began, Sa'id ibn Jubayr would strive so intensely that he could hardly handle it."
