📖 The Basis in Sharia

Allah SWT says in the Holy Qur'an:

فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْۗ
"So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone]."
(QS. Al-Kautsar: 2)

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

"There is no deed that the son of Adam does on the Day of Nahr (Eid al-Adha) that is more beloved to Allah than shedding blood (of the sacrificial animal). Verily, the sacrificial animal will come on the Day of Resurrection with its horns, fur, and hooves."
